This year has been a wild ride. Ever since I let go of most of my belongings and packed the rest into storage, I’ve been everywhere and nowhere all at once, fully nomadic, fully in motion. But no matter where I am in the world, I always make time for the things that matter.
That’s why on September 5–6, 2025, I made sure I was in Vancouver for the 10th annual Stop, Drop and Roll—an event created and led by the legendary Rosie Archie. I’ve had the privilege of attending this event ever since I started skateboarding in 2016 and there was no way I was going to miss this huge milestone.
This year’s celebration was a two-day experience. It kicked off with a bowl competition at Hastings Skatepark, followed by an after-party hosted by DJ Tubsy and DJ Chance, plus a screening of the Still Smoking video by Shari White. Day two brought everyone together again at the Britannia Courts for a competition, we had the legendary attendace of International Skaters like Nicole Hause, Fabiana Delfina, Ruby Lilly, Cata Días, Ariana Spencer, Hannah Tallman and Haley Wilson.
As always, the energy was powerful, community-driven, and full of the kind of joy that keeps me coming back year after year.
I also want to take a moment to thank Rosie for everything she has done and continues to do for women and gender-expansive skateboarders by putting on this event fot 10 years. Her support, leadership, and dedication have shaped the landscape of skateboarding in Vancouver. And lastly here is a few photos from the events.
